Doll House wanna do

From BHG.

Isn't this the cuteness?

It is made from a used dresser.
Added doors and roof and made rooms.
I would love to make this for my granbaby.
I have a small book shelf that may do it.

Making our own seed tape

Right now we are tending our seeds we started indoors.
We addressed the problems with planting tiny seeds.
The packs of seeds today has few in a package, so
every seed counts!

Hubby drew up a seed tape maker to use up some of the
wrong size register tape we bought at a rummage sale for cheap.
Yes, 24 rolls of this paper!
We did a test sample and the paper dissenagrated very well in dirt.
Hubby set out to make a seed dispenser with the paper to have a center 'FOLD'.

Can you see the center fold?

Now a dot of school glue how ever many inches apart
then add a seed to each glue dot.

We were comfortable doing four foot tapes.

What makes the groove in center of paper?

A Popsicle stick!

One must get creative at times!
I think hubby did a fine job!

DIY Dog Bed

Hello!

It's been awhile I know but life had emergencies and Hubby is better now.
Here is what I've been up to.
Sick of seeing one out of my three dogs hanging out the dog bed.
It was just too small for all to lay comfy.
So from the top of my head I came up with my own pattern.
I will show you but don't laugh.
Ok?

Step one
I had this king flannel sheet no longer in use.
I had some faux sheep skin in my material stash.
A curtain panel of canvas like from my shed.
The panel was going to be used to tie up garden plants lol.
I measured the old dog bed and then the length of the sheet.
Perfect bigger size!

I folded the side of sheet to 7 inches. Which lined up on a line in design.
That made it easy to cut.
Table? No, on my kitchen floor!
Alrighty then. After I cut it...

I marked with pins every 6 1/2 inches.
I stitched from bottom up not quite to the top.
After that I stuffed each "pocket".
This is the wall of the bed.

I set on the floor the  panel that I wanted for the underside of bed to mark.

After I marked it I cut it out.
I then marked it on the sheepskin for it to be sewed to.

I ssewed it up leaving one end open to stuff later.

Having the 'seams on the inside of bed I pinned it up to the side of bed.
I actually sewed it with my machine! It fit ok.

TAH DAH!
I made a comfy dog bed for three.
I stuffed the bed pretty good so it was comfy.

Mr. Peanut approved!
He napped and was happy.
Mission complete.
Now all three poodles can sleep without one
hanging out.
I'm happy now.
I can't believe I did this by the seat of my pants so to say.
